JILL AND ELSIE

This is a great story about a very successful young lady named Jill Alexander-Marquis, whose family came from France and was very wealthy. Her father owned many fabric mills and her mother was a fashion designer. Jill also owned her own designer clothing company.

One special day, the Lord spoke to Jill, but she did not recognize His voice so she ignored it. Jill awoke earlier than normal, which was strange because she usually slept later. She did not drink her usual breakfast of blended fruit juices, since she had lost her appetite.

Jill jumped into her brand new jaguar, but the car would not start. She could not call her mechanic, because she left the cell-phone in the house. Jill got out of the car, fumbled for the keys when she realize that she locked her keys in the car. By now Jill was frustrated,

she was desperate to call her secretary and let her know that she would be late for the meeting.

Jill looked around the neighborhood to see if anyone was home but all the driveways were empty.

Jill sat on the bench by her rose garden and started to weep, when suddenly she noticed that someone was peeking at her.

Jill walked across the street, knocked on the door to the garage and asked if she could use a phone. The voice replied that she did not have a phone. The door opened up and a little old lady asked Jill if she wanted to come in, at first Jill was reluctant but she went inside anyways.

The garage was real small, very dirty and had a foul smell. The elderly lady could barely walk as she that her name is Elsie.

Elsie's only possessions were a small refrig, a hot-plate for cooking her meals, a wobbly old table, 2 broken down chairs and an old sofa, where Elsie slept. Jill was curious and wanted to know why Elsie was living in a garage.

Elsie tried to explain that when her husband died about 20 years ago, she lost her house due to non-payment of taxes and that the garage was the only place that she could afford to live.

A sadness pierced Jill`s heart. Jill went outside, took a rock and broke the window to her car, grabbed her keys and went inside her house, to call her brother "Jacque".

She asked him to do her a favor. Jacque was an architect and owned his own construction company. Jacque built Elsie a brand new house, fully furnished and with plenty of food.

Elsie would of died that day, if Jill and Jacque did not show their love to her. Finally Jill heard what the Lord was saying. What is the Lord saying to you?

God bless
